After a less than auspicious start to the day at DeWolf Park, completely forgetting to actually record any video, I decided to try again at Africville.

The sun was supposed to shine today (and is now) but it was still a little overcast and a slight wind blowing though not enough to limit the drone I don’t think. All in all it seemed to work fine anyway.

I set up the drone, and got both it, and the screen recording this time, yay! While you can’t see or hear it, before the video starts here, I clapped my hands once, and used the spike in the audio as well as the video of my hands coming together in both clips to synchronize the clips. Thanks YouTube creators for the tip.

I am not the worlds most verbose person, and I feel like I was babbling on here, but I had no real plan other than just testing things, so excuse the lack of any coherent stream of consciousness stuff!

I placed the microphone on the collar of my shirt this time, and seemed to work better. Still some buzzing, I’m not sure if thats interference with the control unit, the drone, or perhaps my drone. Next time I think I’ll put my phone on airplane mode and see if it makes a difference.

Still much better than before, if a little loud. I could have decreased the volume in editing, but I didn’t. 😀

I feel a little less nervous about flying now, so that’s a good thing. Now to become more coherent and actually “plan” videos rather than just go.

What do you want to see?

Just got my hands on a drone, and let me tell you, it's awesome (and way trickier than it looks!). I'm here to document my adventures in the sky, share epic aerial photos and videos (hopefully!), and learn alongside all you other drone newbies. We'll explore the coolest accessories, tackle those inevitable challenges (read: crash landings!), and figure out all the pitfalls together. Buckle up for some wobbly flights, stunning scenery, and maybe a few laughs along the way!
