I have an idea for combining drone footage, with action camera footage and stills to explore the parks, trails and sights of Halifax and further afield.
While I plan to do these mostly on bike, today I took the drone down to the Bedford Sackville connector for a proof of concept dry run (well maybe dry walk).
Its a beautiful day, and I think my idea will work. My editing skills need work though! But it’l be fun, and I hope you come along and learn with me, or laugh at me, or both!
I definitely should have put an ND filter on the drone, I completely forgot it. And I definitely need a sun shade for the controller. Couldn’t see a damn thing!
Next time for the river sequence, and others in future, what I’ll do is fly to all the points, and use the waypoint feature to create waypoints, then run the waypoint “mission” to do a much more smooth video.
Lots to learn, but I’m looking forward to exploring more because of this!
Just got my hands on a drone, and let me tell you, it's awesome (and way trickier than it looks!). I'm here to document my adventures in the sky, share epic aerial photos and videos (hopefully!), and learn alongside all you other drone newbies. We'll explore the coolest accessories, tackle those inevitable challenges (read: crash landings!), and figure out all the pitfalls together. Buckle up for some wobbly flights, stunning scenery, and maybe a few laughs along the way!
