I bought my drone at Best Buy on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Needed to be set up of course, and have the controller connected to the aircraft (feels funny to call it that), and batteries charged. I bought the “Fly More” combo, which included extra propellors, 3 batteries, and a carrying case. Retailed at 1429. Not cheap, but for all its features, which we’ll discover together I think its a lot of machine for the price.
The weather is mostly cold and grey here, and likely will continue to be, but I wanted to start somewhere, so basically, I took it on my deck and learned how to take off, land, and rotate. Not a whole lot but it’s a start!
Using a 128gb SD card in the unit, which I just popped in my laptop after and copied over. Used iMovie to add some music, and edit a little; I don’t have any professional video tools, or skills! But first flight done. Excuse the glare from the bald head, as titled!
Just got my hands on a drone, and let me tell you, it's awesome (and way trickier than it looks!). I'm here to document my adventures in the sky, share epic aerial photos and videos (hopefully!), and learn alongside all you other drone newbies. We'll explore the coolest accessories, tackle those inevitable challenges (read: crash landings!), and figure out all the pitfalls together. Buckle up for some wobbly flights, stunning scenery, and maybe a few laughs along the way!
